The crocheted Tunisian purl stitch is a common variation of the basic Tunisan/Afghan stitch. and looks like rows of rounded bumps, similar to the knitted purl stitch. As with any kind of Afghan stitch, you begin Tunisian purl with a foundation row made of basic Tunisian crochet stitch.

Foundation Row (RS): Yarn forward, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook,yo, draw loop through ch, * yarn forward,insert hook into next ch,yo, draw loop through ch, rep from* to end of row, 1 ch, do not turn.
Return Row: *YO,draw yarn through 2 loops,rep. from* to end of row, 1ch, do not turn.
Row 1 (RS): YFWD, insert hook into 2nd vertical bar formed on previous row,yo,draw loop through stitch,*yfwd,insert hook into next vertical bar,yo, draw loop through ch,rep. from * to end of row, 1 ch, do not turn.
Row 2: Work as for return row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 to required length.
