The Simple Cable Stitch, as its name implies, is an easy knitting stitch with the cables all travelling in the same direction and being worked on just one row in four. Follow our instructions as detailed below.
Cast on a multiple of 9 sts. plus 3.
Row 1,*P3,K6,rep from * to last 3 sts.P3.
Row 2,*K3,P6,rep from * to last 3 sts.K3.
Row 3,* P3,K6,rep from * to last 3 sts.P3.
Row 4, as row 2.
Row 5, P3, C6B (slip next 3 sts.on to cable needle and hold at back of work,K3, then K3 from cable needle,) rep from * to last 3 sts. P3.
Repeat rows 2-5 to form the pattern.
