How to crochet Plain Ridged Squares

Plain Ridge Squares are easy to crochet  and colours maybe changed at the beginning of any round.

Begin with 4 CH, 1 SS into first ch made.

Round 1: 1 CH, 11 DC, into ring,1 SS in first chain of round.

Round 2: 1 CH, 1 DC in back loop of 1st dc, 3 DC in back loop of next dc,[ 1 DC in back loop of each of next 2 dc, 3 DC in back loop of following dc] 3 times, 1 SS in 1st chain of round.

Round 3: 1 CH,[1 DC in back loop of each dc to corner, 3 DC in back loop of dc at corner ( which is the centre of  dc of 3 worked in same place) ] 4 times, 1 SS in 1st ch of round.

Repeat round 3 to size required.
