                                                  How to Knit an Icord

An Icord is a useful and easy cord to make that can be used for edgings and trimmings as well as a tie cord on your knitted garments etc.

With double pointed needles cast on the required number of stitches, normally 3. Without turning the needle slide the stitches to the other point, carry the yarn around the back and then knit the stitches as normal. Repeat this process, each time you complete a row, slide the stitches to the other end of the needle, carry yarn across the back of the work and then knit the next row, until the required length is reached, cast off.
