How to Knit Cables

How to Knit Cables

Cables can add much interest and variety to your knitting  and are formed by stitches changing places with adjacent stitches. The stitches to be moved are slipped onto a cable needle and held at either the back or front of your work while the adjacent stitches are worked.

Traditional cables are used in Aran patterns but they can be adapted for use in many other knitting designs and used in panels along side many other stitches.
