Blackberry Stitch, which is also known as Trinity Stitch, is a lovely relief knitting stitch which creates a nice chunky effect. It is a simple stitch to work and can be used as an all over design .
The sample shown below has been worked in purple melange in our very popular Etho 100% Wool.
It is worked over a multiple of 4 rows.
Blackberry or Trinity Stitch
Cast on a multiple of four stitches.
Row 1 (WS) *Into next stitch work (K1,P1,K1),P3 tog. rep from * to end.
Row 2 (RS) P to end
Row 3 * P3 tog. into next stitch work (K1,P1,K1) rep from * to end
Row 4 P to end
